ADK

I went to the Adirondacks for Thanksgiving weekend. The weather was lovely, and I conquered Saddleback, Gothics, Armstrong and Upper Wolfjaw. On Monday, I was incredibly sore, which of course only served to depress me about my (lack of) fitness for this.

I haven't gotten around to uploading my pictures, but Paul has.

In other news, I always figured that I'd come down to earth after this summer's whirlwind of cool adventures, moving, new job and so on. This week, it happened. All of a sudden I feel like the wind left my sails or the bubble deflated or something, and what's left is... well, an ordinary life. Somebody asked me this morning if not having anything on the horizon has anything to do with my self-professed cranky mood, and when I thought about it, I realized - perhaps that's it. For the first time in a long time, longer than I can remember, I have no adventures or travel on the horizon. Furthermore, I think I got a little bit used to having new and exciting things in my life, and now, there is neither newness or excitement on any level. There is just the realization that summer is over.
