Mining the Archives

So today, I'd be perfectly happy to rant. I could, for instance, express my incredulity over this story. Or, I could show my frustration over this one. (I mean, sure, he's a bit of an ass, but I heard an interview on As It Happens where a US spokesman likened cross-border pot seed selling to the US shipping vast quantities of hand-guns despite our gun control laws - to her credit, the CBC interviewer came out with an incredulous "surely you're not comparing marijuana to guns". The spokesman was noncommittal, I paraphrase, but it was along the lines of "that's not for me to say".)

So yes, the news on my radio has had my knickers in a knot the last while. It makes me cranky.

So, instead, I think I should return to babbling about my kayak. And since there is nothing new to report, I mine my pile of unpublished events in the past, and finally post some text and pictures from June's Great Lakes Sea Kayaking Association Rendezvous on Parry Island.

Here's the link.

And, if plans pan out this weekend, there will be new content after that. Though I must admit... I'm a bit exhausted these days. But I'd rather be exhausted than bored.
