All I wanted was a way of having feedback on my site - to make it a bit more interactive. I didn't want some cheesy "guest book", I wanted a "comment on this story" button or the like. But...
I don't know the first thing about scripts, I'm not even sure I know what they are. I am the sort of wimp who uses an HTML editor, and only rarely do I actually edit the HTML code by hand. So... I installed Movable Type, as an experiment. Except I didn't install it successfully, Markus had to bail me out - and I don't actually know how to use it. There were a bunch of elements on the template I'm using that I didn't want, so I deleted them. There are things I want to edit, but I can't figure it out - I look at the code, and it might as well be Finnish - a language that has no familiarity to me at all.
But the comments work. I think.
